Jon Keller - Director of Performance Enhancement
Exercise Physiologist, CSCS, SCCC, USAW
Jon graduated with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science and has always had a passion for teaching and coaching athletes of all ages. Early in his career, Jon had the unique opportunity to be a strength and conditioning coach at the United States Olympic Training Center. He worked with high level athletes and trained them on proper Olympic lifting techniques. His career quickly progressed as he headed to Seattle to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the professional basketball teams - the Seattle Supersonics and the Seattle Storm. Jon then decided to go to graduate school at East Tennessee State University and graduated with a Masters in Exercise Physiology. Before joining the Performance Enhancement staff at DST, Jon most recently worked with Georgetown University and Episcopal High School as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. He has several publications in the field and has the philosophy that athletes should always look to the fundamentals of training in order to improve in any sport.
Vince Mauro - Performance Coach
Kinesiologist, CSCS, CPT
Vince grew up in Long Island, NY but traveled south after high school to attend James Madison University where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology. While at JMU, he played on the baseball team and interned with the Strength and Conditioning Department to create programs for all of the collegiate teams. His degree in Kinesiology gives him a unique understanding of the human body and how it functions to perform sports and sports related tasks. Vince has over 15 years of experience working with athletes and athletic hopefuls of all ages and all sports. He has worked with the MLS DC United soccer team as an intern. Although he has extensive experience working with high level athletes, Vince has spent a big part of his career training and coaching individuals looking to improve their health and overall quality of life. He has a passion for teaching and mentoring children and adolescents, with a goal of instilling good values and proper work ethic in order to create a great athlete and great person.
Kevin Raymond - Performance Coach
Kevin grew up in Manchester, Jamaica where he excelled at sports from a young age. When he was in high school, he was a star on the cricket team. During his junior year, he decided to take up track and field after beating out the best quarter miler at the school’s annual Sports Day. The following year, Kevin won the 400 meter run in the Class I Boys Athletic Championship of Jamaica and was part of the 4x800 team that made it to the All-American Finals at the 1999 Penn Relays. Kevin attended G.C. Foster College of Physical Education and Sports in Jamaica where his primary focus was on track. He was a two-time collegiate champion in the 400 meters. He made repeat appearances on G.C. Foster’s 4x400 team which reached the All-America Finals at the Penn Relays in 2001 and 2002. Kevin graduated from the college with a degree in Teaching and Coaching. He gained a full track and field scholarship to George Mason University in 2002 where he attended for one year. After being out of school for a couple years, Kevin went back in 2009 on a track scholarship to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. There he actively competed on the school’s indoor and outdoor track teams achieving records in numerous events. In 2009, Kevin won the 400 meters at the outdoor State Championships and moved on to compete at Nationals in the 400 meter and the 4x400 relay finals. He then interned with the IUP track team for his final year where he worked with the sprinters and created workouts to develop their techniques. Kevin graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2011 with a degree in Sports Administration and a minor in Business. As a coach, he strives to teach young athletes proper techniques and challenge them both physically and mentally. More importantly though, Kevin tries to inspire and educate athletes that through hard work and dedication, it is possible to reach their greatest potential.
Kevin Bosworth - Performance Coach
As a high school athlete, Kevin lettered in three sports - crew, wrestling, and football. In 2005, he received a degree in Exercise Physiology from Shenandoah University where he played football from 2000-03. At the conclusion of his football career, he remained with the team as a part-time coach and assistant strength and conditioning coach until 2008. Kevin worked with the men’s basketball, women’s volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, and field hockey teams at Shenandoah University. He then went on to intern with Performance One in Columbus, Ohio where he worked with middle school and high school athletes as well as the Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League. From there, Kevin spent some time at Velocity Sports Performance in Ashburn and now works with the Marshall High School football and wrestling teams.
